Colin's Vision
Priorities for Utah Senate District 13
Colin Smith is running to bring practical leadership and real-world problem solving to Utah. His campaign is focused on three urgent priorities that impact families, the economy, and the future of the state.
-
Saving the Great Salt Lake
The Great Salt Lake is essential to Utah’s environment, public health, and economy. Colin is committed to bold, science-driven action to stabilize and restore the lake, protect water resources, and ensure long-term sustainability for future generations.
-
Affordability for Utah Families
From housing costs to everyday expenses, too many Utahns are feeling the squeeze. Colin supports practical solutions to increase housing supply, reduce cost burdens, and make it easier for working families to get ahead and stay in their communities.
-
Supporting Children Facing Food Insecurity
No child in Utah should go hungry. Colin will advocate for stronger partnerships between schools, community organizations, and state programs to ensure children have reliable access to nutritious meals—both during the school year and outside of it.

The Forward Party of Utah
Moving Forward Together
At the Forward Party of Utah, we’re focused on building a better, more functional political system that works for everyone—not just the extremes. We believe politics doesn’t have to be so divided, and that most people actually agree on more than they think. That’s why we prioritize reducing polarization, improving how elections work through ideas like ranked-choice voting and open primaries, and supporting leaders who are willing to work across the aisle. Rather than sticking to rigid party lines, we’re about practical solutions, collaboration, and making government more responsive to the people it serves.
